boss (sb.) about 把某人差來(lái)差去

e.g. I’m not going to be bossed about by a nobody like you.

can of worm 一團(tuán)糟

e.g. What he left behind after his resignation was just a can of worm..

他辭職后留下來(lái)的只是一大堆頭痛的問(wèn)題。

catch on 流行起來(lái)

e.g. The mini-skirt caught on quickly but disappeared equally fast.

迷你裙迅即流行，但是很快就被打入冷宮。

cook with gas 好極了

e.g. Now you’re cooking with gas.

現(xiàn)在你的表現(xiàn)好極了

copy? 收到/聽(tīng)到?copy/copy that：收到!"I copy that" is walkie-talkie talk for - I understand, will do, gotcha, ok, alright, yup, uh-huh, and much more depending on the inflection of the voice.

e.g. Do you copy? Roger.

收到了嗎?收到了。

cut down on 侮辱，咒罵

e.g. He’s cutting down on you. I can’t stand it any longer.

他分明是在侮辱你。我已忍無(wú)可忍了。

do 表示吸食、參加、享用

e.g. I don’t do acid any more.

我不再吸毒了。

do the town 狂歡

e.g. I did the town with the old boys the other day.

前些天我和一班舊同學(xué)狂歡了一番。

down play 貶低、 對(duì)某事輕描淡寫(xiě)

e.g. The press has down played the president’s role in the negotiations.

輿論遍地了總統(tǒng)在談判中所起的作用。

Damn it 詛咒語(yǔ)

e.g. Now damn it! Let’s quit talking about this subject.
